Next Steps @ St. Timothy's

Believing

Father Billy Swan of Ireland wrote in an article that there are three Bs of faith - and the first is Believing.  Here are some of the ways St. Timothy's helps you on your journey in Believing in Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Bible Study

St. Timothy's partners with St. Paul's Reformed Episcopal Church in a weekly Bible Study currently done by conference call. We pick a Book of the Bible and go through it verse by verse - looking at what other parts of the Bible support. Join us as we deep dive into God's Word!

Read the Bible in a Year

Join other members of St. Timothy's who are reading the Bible in 2023 using the Bible in a Year app. If you don't start with us on January 1st, you can jump in with us at any point OR use this tool to plan out your own Bible reading plan.

Alpha

St. Timothy's plans to sponsor the Alpha Course in 2023. In a world of isolation, anonymity, and keyboard-warriors, Alpha offers a space for honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits.

Prayer

St. Timothy's is deeply rooted in prayer. We have faith that God answers prayer, even if it is "No" or "Not Now." St. Timothy's offers Intercessory Prayer (prayers on the behalf of others) at the the first and third Worship Service of the month.

Behaving

The second “B” in faith is Behaving – per Father Billy Swan, “Effective evangelization doesn’t lead with what we should or shouldn’t do. It’s not a code of ethics. Rather, it is a way of life that flows from a living relationship with our loving Father who claims us proudly as a son or daughter.” Here are some service opportunities for you to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our church, community, and the world.

Belonging

The third "B" is Belonging - belonging to family, to a faith community, and even to God himself.  If you wish to make St. Timothy's your church family, and we hope you will, here's how you do it!

There are two ways to join St. Timothy's:

After Baptism or Transfer, the next step is Confirmation or, for those already Confirmed in another church, Reception - both are done during the yearly Bishop's Visit

All forms may be give to our Parish Administrator, Chris Wingard, or our Rector, the Rev. Luke Deman. Or, you may email them.
